My Story

Chef Mayiza👩🏾‍🍳 comes to you with 20+ years operating in culinary excellence. If you live in St Louis Missouri, at some point, I fed you, and it was a pleasure to do so.

Whether it was at the Hyatt Regency at the Arch, Ameristar Casino St. Charles, The Redbird Club @Busch Stadium, The Rams Club at the @Edward Jones Dome, The Ballpark Village Budweiser Brewhouse, at Christian NE Hospital, or at Steven's College in Columbia, Mo, I fed you.. Remembering what it was like growing up, it was my duty to pay it forward with providing countless meals to multiple homeless shelters throughout Missouri and Southern Illinois as well to the homeless camps downtown at the riverfront. To do so took only a YES spirit, and it was a great pleasure to serve you.

Chef Mayiza is very passionate about teaching the Arts & Science of Culinary. So much so that she established a place to do just that. Agriculture, gardening, nutritional health & how the body processes food are just a few components that you will acquire in study at Chef Hat-Culinary Education and Training LLC.

Chef Hat - Culinary Education and Training is a place created for both the aspiring chefs & everyday home cook to grow and develop skills in food safety & preparation, kitchen safety & management.

Chef Mayiza is also a registered ServSafe Proctor and a certified ServSafe Instructor and ready to certify you.

  • The ServSafe Food Handler Certificate verifies basic food safety knowledge and is for individuals in food handler employee-level positions.

  • The ServSafe Manager Certification is accredited by the American National Accreditation Board (ANAB) under the Conference for Food Protection Standards.

  • The refresher course is designed for those who have previously taken full ServSafe courses and is only in need for recertification

  • The ServSafe® program provides food safety training, exams and educational materials to foodservice managers
